Day 18, Wed May 16, 2012

Sadly, it was time to leave Catacurian. Alicia was a great hostess.

We first drove to Falset and hit the post office. Kimberley had a bunch of stuff to mail back home. Then, we drove back to Reus for a little shopping. Kimberley had been eyeing some clothes there yesterday.

We then headed back north to Torroella de Fluvia near the Bay of Roses for tonight's B&B. Well, it was extraordinarily hard to find. But once we found it, we discovered one of the nicest B&Bs we've ever been to. And we were the only guests in the house this night.

A view of a middle-ages chapel from the back yard. Kimberley has done a kick-ass job picking our hotels during this trip!

The two guys who run this place have impeccable taste, and one has cultivated some really fine roses.

In the late afternoon we drove to Sant Marti d'Empuries, and finally made it to the Mediterranean Sea.

We walked half-way to l'Escala along the seaside boardwalk and got our first sight of a ruined Roman port city.

We had dinner back in town. The salads were great, and then we shared some pasta and pizza. The wine was from Falset, and of course, was very nice.

Back to the B&B for a great night's sleep.
