I call today "Pottery Day." We started off with a quick breakfast at the hotel, then we blasted out of there. We were off to Aix-en-Provence for a pottery hunt.
As per usual, this entailed driving.
We found the pottery "store" that Kimberley was looking for out in the country near Aix, and she bought some nice bowls and so on.
After dumping our stuff at the room, we drove to Biot, which is a town of artisans. It's appropriately beautiful.
Kimberley found more (better) pottery, and proceeded to load up on some very fine pieces, all in the Provencial style. After a stop at a supermarket to stock up on supplies, we went back to the B&B and rested through to the early evening.
At 7:00, we walked to the local Tuscan restaurant and had salads and split a plate of penne al arabiatta. We also had a bottle of Italian Chianti. It was all very good.
At this point, I was pretty sure that we'd be enjoying Italian food more than any other type during the trip. Back at the room for the evening, we were able to take in a little English TV (Dr. Who), and then we finally got to sleep despite the noisy neighbours.
