First full day in Paris...on to the Louvre!
The place was crowded, but it's so large, we didn't feel squeezed in. And when I say large...I mean HUGE.
Do not go to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. You basically can't see it. Tons of people, then you're kept back by a railing, and the painting (which is actually pretty dark and dingy) is kept behind reflecting glass. A good view is impossible.
Stopped for some water a the cafe.
There is stuff pillaged from many ancient cultures at the Louvre. Might makes right.
Opulence. That's a word for the Louvre.

In the evening, we sought out a Moroccan restaurant (Chez Berbert) near the hotel. I ordered dessert for dinner. Stupid language barrier.
